Women Lawyers as Architects of Change in European Integration
a comprehensive understanding of the gender dimension in European integration processes through practice, policy and law, which will enable a better grasp of the changes that are already taking place
the impact of European integration on the legal profession and various areas of law enforcement, as illustrated by specific case studies and experience: the link between policy and day-to-day practice
the role of women lawyers as a force for change in law, policy and practice
a foundation for future partnerships, advocacy initiatives and community engagement in the processes of European integration
The event took place within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Capacity of Legal Professionals in the Regions to Protect Women and Girls Affected by Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.”
The project is implemented by the Ukrainian Women Lawyers Association “JurFem” with technical support from UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). The WPHF is a flexible and rapid funding tool that supports high-quality interventions aimed at enhancing the capacity of local women to prevent conflicts, respond to crises and emergencies, and seize key peacebuilding opportunities.
